Application
USERS AND RECOMMENDED NEEDLE LENGTHS Use for medical indications, i.e., the treatment of all types of scars and striae distensae, is reserved for qualified medical professionals. Depending on the type and severity of the scar, and the skin area to be treated, the user selects the needle length up to a maximum of 1.5 mm. To minimize side effects, the handpiece of the eDermastamp microneedling device should always be set to the shortest possible needle length that achieves uniform redness or superficial pinpoint bleeding ("blood dew"). More severe bleeding is not necessary!
For non-medical indications, i.e., the treatment of wrinkles or sagging skin, non-medical professional users, such as trained aestheticians, may also use the medical device. For this group of users, we recommend staying below the maximum needle length of 1.5 mm and always selecting the needle length on the handpiece of the eDermastamp microneedling device so that the treated skin area is evenly reddened, but does not bleed.
Please refer to the device's operating instructions and the needle module's instructions for use. The hygiene measures listed must be strictly observed. Follow the treatment steps below, and your patients/customers will see improved skin after just a few treatments.
- Before using the eDermastamp® LS, the skin must be thoroughly cleansed. Depending on the selected needle length, a topical anesthetic cream can be used – up to a needle length of 0.5 mm, the treatment is generally painless. Disinfect the skin afterwards.
- Use a new, sterile needle module for each patient/customer and attach it to the handpiece. Set the desired needle length.
- Apply small amounts of lubricant to the areas to be treated. We recommend our CIT Hyal hyaluronic acid gel.
- Now you can begin the treatment. The handpiece is moved over the skin in circular motions, applying light pressure.
- After the treatment, clean the treated skin area with a sterile swab and sterile saline solution.
